Refund Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid PresentationTimer plans and 30-day passes. It is part of our Terms of Service. If anything here is unclear, contact support@presentationtimer.org before you pay or before you contact your bank.

Free plan

The Free plan has no charge and no subscription. There is nothing to refund for a free room.

Subscriptions (Pro and Premium)

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period: paid features stay available until then, the subscription does not renew, and the account returns to the Free plan afterwards.

Canceling is not a refund. It stops the next renewal; it does not return the money for the period you already paid for.

30-day passes

A 30-day pass is a single payment for exactly 30 days of access. It does not renew automatically and there is nothing to cancel. After 30 days the account returns to the Free plan.

Used periods are not refundable by default

We do not refund a billing period during which you used the paid features, and we do not refund an activated 30-day pass. This is the default for all paid plans, including annual subscriptions.

We still review refund requests case by case. Examples of requests we may approve include:

  • An accidental or duplicate purchase.
  • A purchase made by mistake where you contact us shortly after the charge and have not used paid features.
  • A billing error, such as a charge after a cancellation you completed before the renewal.
  • A period in which a paid feature you depended on was unavailable for a prolonged time because of a problem on our side.

If we approve a refund

When a full refund of the invoice for the current period is approved, the paid access for that period ends immediately, the related subscription is canceled, and the account returns to the Free plan. For a 30-day pass, an approved full refund removes that pass's access period. A partial refund does not change access unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

Saved rooms, layouts, and their data are kept. After the paid access ends, Free plan limits apply, which may mean a room has to be trimmed before it can be reopened.

How to request a refund

Email support@presentationtimer.org from the account email, and include the approximate charge date, the plan or pass you bought, and what went wrong. We reply as quickly as we can and explain the outcome.

Consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with a statutory right of withdrawal, you can contact us within 14 days of the charge to exercise it.

Because paid access starts immediately after a successful payment, you ask us to begin providing the service right away. If you exercise a statutory right of withdrawal after paid features have been used, we may retain or charge a proportionate amount for the access already provided, where the law allows.

Payment disputes

If you believe a charge is unauthorized or wrong, contact us before asking your bank or card provider to reverse it. A chargeback or payment dispute may suspend paid access while it is reviewed, and it is usually slower than asking us directly.
