Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
PresentationTimer provides browser-based timer rooms for presentations, meetings, classes, webinars, and live events. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you use presentationtimer.org and how to contact us.
Information We Handle
When you use PresentationTimer, we may handle the following information:
- Timer room settings such as timer name, duration, sound preference, and time zone.
- Room identifiers, timer identifiers, and host access tokens used to open and control a room.
- Connection details needed to synchronize host and display screens while a room is active.
- Messages you send to us through the support email address below.
How Information Is Stored
PresentationTimer stores some room data in your browser so you can reopen an active room on the same device. Active synchronized room state may also be processed by our sync service so host and display screens stay in sync.
Free timer rooms are designed to be temporary. Based on the current product behavior, anonymous room state is configured to expire within roughly 24 hours unless it is refreshed by new activity.
How We Use Information
We use information only to operate and support the service, including to:
- Create and maintain timer rooms.
- Synchronize timer state across host and display devices.
- Improve reliability, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support requests.
- Protect the service against misuse or unauthorized access.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with infrastructure providers only when needed to host, secure, or operate the service.
Cookies and Local Storage
The site currently relies on browser storage, including local storage, to keep timer-room information and host access on your device. If you clear your browser storage, saved local room access may be removed.
Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as reasonably needed to operate the timer-room experience, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
Your Choices
You can stop using the service at any time, close shared room links, and clear your browser storage to remove locally stored room data on your own device.
Children's Privacy
PresentationTimer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
